last week i started experimenting with a new approach using fragments of multiple images to create a single portrait. the first try didn't work out but they're getting better now. these two i think i like so far, the male portrait is finished and the larger female is still in progress. the collage aspect allows for more discovery. to me, the fragments create an illusion of movement, as if it's a still image of various stages of motion.
i still have a few doubts but i'm going see where it goes, i think there's potential. it might lead somewhere completely different. any thoughts or observations would be appreciated.

I really enjoy the way this makes features of the face, like the noses, turn unexpectedly with the faces still making sense. I especially like the woman's face.
